SVT College of Home Science, SNDT women's university, Mumbai is a pioneering educational institute imparting education to the women in the areas under Home science. Established in 1959, this was the first college in Mumbai to offer Home Science at degree level.

SVT marks glorious and strong foundation with 50 years of existence. It speaks for its commitment towards excellence in academics given an honor of “College with Potential for Excellence” bestowed by the University Grants Commission for a duration of 3 years (2006-2009).
